Defense Litigation Attorney
Full Time • Fort Lauderdale
Due to growth, a busy, growing Insurance Defense Law Firm is adding two Attorneys to their team. One position requires 1-5 years of experience and the other requires 5-15 years of experience. You will represent clients in legal proceedings, draw up legal documents and advise clients on legal transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court
- Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
- Advise clients on business and legal transactions
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
- Comply with all legal standards and regulations
- Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in insurance defense litigation: bodily injury, maritime, catastrophic injury, liability, medical malpractice, trucking and/or construction litigation
- Familiarity with various legal documents
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Salary:
Junior Attorney: $85,000-$130,000 per year
Senior Attorney: $130,000-$180,000 per year
Work type:
Depending on experience, this position may be performed in-office, hybrid or remotely.
